Just A Dream? (Open M/M)

"They cast him because he looked the part," Teegan rolled his eyes, "His dad also paid so that didn't hurt none."

Dante huffed softly, "Of course... He did always have to go to his dad for everything..." He shook his head, "He was friends with my brother Jacen in high school..."

Teegan rolled his eyes, "I hate kids who are like that. If you don't work hard to get what you want in this world then nothing is worth anything."

"I've always thought that... But the rich kids have never thought of it like that before..." Dante ran his fingers through his hair.

Teegan laghed, "Well...techincally you could consider me rich. But I'm not like those other brats."

Dante smiled, "I can see that, those brats are never as nice as you've been."

Teegan smiled, "Well, don't let those brats get to you."

Dante smiled, "I don't normally let them get to me... Besides I think their afraid of my brother Arty."

Teegan laughed, "If they knew my brother they would be afraid of him."

Dante smiled, "What does your brother do? Is he a cop or something?" He asked curiously, he wondered if he had ever met his brother.

"No, my brother's the town attornery," Teegan murmured.

"Oh... Is that why he's making you become a lawyer as well?" Dante asked in an almost knowing way, he knew what it was like to hide part of who he was.

Teegan looked down, "He says that it's better as a career because it will pay more and the world will always need lawyers."

"Oh..." Dante said as he nodded slowly, he looked down at the cup in his hand. "What would you rather do Teegan? He asked curiously.

Teegan was nervous as he reached out to sip his coffee. He took a long breath, never having had to admit this to anyone before. "I...I would like to be in show business. I don't care if it's acting or directing...well...I guess I do care. I'd like to act but what I'd really love to do is act, it's my passion."

Dante smiled softly as he listened to Teegan talk, it wasn't hard at all to see just how much he loved acting. "Its easy to see how much you love it, I heard that the more you love something the better you become at it."

"That's the old idiom," smiled Teegan with a nod as he sipped his drink and sat back in his seat. "I really wanna do Broadway but if I can't do that, I'm happy to just direct indie flicks or something."

Dante smiled, "I bet that would be really cool, I think some of the indie flicks are really awesome." Dante smiled before looking at his drink, "I hope that someday I can sell my paintings or get into a gallery..."

"Well from what I've seen, you'll be able to sell them. I mean, they were good enough they put some of them in the student center," Teegan grinned.

Dante smiled shyly in surprise, "You've seen my art in the student center? I didn't think anyone had looked at my art at the student center."

"It's wonderful! Sometimes when I'm wandering around campus, I just go to the student center. The portrait you did in there is my favorite. Who was it of?" Teegan asked, his eyes wide.

"Oh that one?" Dante gave a shy smile, "That's a portrait of my brother Arty, I did that one last year for the school art show."

"Well it's amazing. Maybe I could model for you sometime," Teegan winked at him.

Dante smiled shyly, "I'd like that, I'm always looking for someone new to paint." He said happily before looking down at his cup, none of the other students had volunteered.

Teegan grinned, "Well I'd have to work it around my school and work schedules. Wade's always giving me shit hours because he says he wants me to be working with the other partner's of the firm because working with him would seem like nepotism."
