"Trust me I don't think that, but that may keep you from wanting to hit though." Adam replied with a smile.

Wade nodded, looking at him, "And I don't think that you could take a punch from me."

Adam chuckled softly at that, he was pretty sure he could take a punch from the man but he stayed quiet.

Wade knew that he doctor didn't know what he was. He honestly thought that he had only gotten into a fight with a friend and for some reason, that put a smile on Wade's face.

Adam shook his head as he slowly started to reset the first finger, he knew it was going to be very painful for the other man.

Wade let out a hiss of pain but he wasn't going to scream. Screaming was for the weak and he learned at a young age that he wasn't able to be weak.

Adam glanced over at the other man as he started in the other fingers, he was surprised at how well the other man was doing at hiding the pain.

Wade glanced at Adam out of the corner of his eyes, gritting his teeth as he looked him over, "So...tell me about you."

"Well... I'm a doctor with a younger brother in med school and I live with my uncle and his family... My mother and father are no longer with is..." He finished.

Hearing about the parents, Wade bowed his head, "I"m sorry that is the case. Were they good parents?"

Adam couldn't help the smile he got when he thought about his mother, "Our mom was the best mother one could ask for, she was loving and wonderful... Dad disappeared when I was five... He was undercover supposedly and they think he was found out."

"Well it's a good thing that you had a loving mother," shrugged Wade, "My own mother couldn't care more about me. I left home so that I could actually find someone to like me."

"Oh... I'm so sorry... I wouldn't of said anything if I had known...." Adam said softly, feeling horrible for bring it up.

Wade shook his head, "It is quite alright. I was the one that brought it up."

Adam nodded slowly, "Do you have any friends here in town?" He asked curiously.

Wade shook his head, "When you're in my line of work, you don't make many friends."

"Its a shame, friends can be the best part of life." Adam said, "Take my best friend Chris, he's been my friend since we were kids and we've had some crazy times."

"Well, I've found friends are more of a liability," shrugged Wade, "I'm glad you have friends though. YOu seem like a good enough man."

"Well I'm sorry you have had friends that have lead you to think that... And I wouldn't call myself good, more like just kind... Good should be used when talking about better men."

"Better men? You don't look like a man whose done terrible things," shrugged Wade. He had seen some of the men who had done terrible things, he himself was one.

"I've not done terrible things... I just don't think anything short of like an angel should use the term good... Maybe it's because I remember how good my mother was." Adam answered, "My brother is good though, just like mom..."

"How can't you say you're good? You're working at a clinic for less pay then a talented doctor like you could work at a hospital. If that's anything, that's good. No one's perfect, we all just make our own definitions of what good is. You're good," Wade reasoned, using the skills that made him so effective in the court room.

Adam chuckled softly, "You know you should be a lawyer if you aren't one already, you'd be great at it."

"I am one..." Wade muttered, shocked that the other man sort of figured it out. If he knew...well...Wade could be in real trouble.

"Well you are really in your element then my friend.. Do you like your job?" Adam asked as he reached for the tape so he could tape up Wade's fingers.
