Why Should We Hide?

Artemis nodded. "Yeah..." He said quietly, almost whispering.

"Why? They seem like like caring parents and hasn't Dante told them as well?"

Artemis shook his head. "Neither of us have. They...well mostly dad... were raised to believe certain um...relationships...are wrong..."

"Oh..." Alex said softly, his head going down again. He felt a small ache in his chest, this probably meant that there would be no more kisses like they had shared.

Artemis sighed quietly, slowly reaching a hand out to play with a bit of Alex's hair. "I um..." He went to apologise, but instead ended up staring at Alex instead.

Alex looked up at him, half leaning into his hand. "Yes...?"

"Nothing..." Artemis said quietly, trying not to look nervous when Alex leaned into the touch, Artemis hesitantly resting his hand against Alex's cheek.

Alex's cheek was slightly flushed, but he liked the feeling Artemis's hand. He felt nervous when he saw the nervous look in Artemis's eyes.

"We...we probably shouldn't..." Artemis said quietly, though he didn't actually move at all, leaving his hand where it was.

"Y-Your.... Probably...." Alex started, though he leaned his cheek into his hand.

Artemis sighed quietly before leaning closer to kiss Alex again despite what he'd been saying.

Alex leaned in as well, meeting him halfway.

Artemis smiled shyly and kissed him, gently stroking his cheek.

Alex kissed back shyly, his arms going slowly around Artemis's neck.

Artemis blushed slightly, but continued kissing him anyway, slowly wrapping his free arm around Alex's waist.

Alex's cheeks were bright pink when he had to pull back for air.

Artemis gave a small smile, slowly moving his hand off Alex's cheek as he caught his breath.

Alex smiled back softly, a little of the blonde in his hair falling across his forhead.

Artemis chuckled softly, reaching a hand out to brush Alex's hair off his face.

Alex's smile grew a little.

Dante smiled as he watched from the doorway of the connecting bathroom.

Artemis didn't notice his brother was watching, his back to him.

Alex was lost in Artemis's glaze.

Dante started to leave when the floor creeked.

Artemis jumped at the sound, quickly turning to look. "Dante! Wha- what are you doing...?"

Alex jumped as well.

"Sorry Arty.... I heard you two talking and then it went quiet and i wanted to check on you..."

"Oh..." Artemis said, nervously running a hand through his hair, not sure what to say. "Um..."
