Why Should We Hide?

Artemis smiled, going to say something until he heard Jacen swearing at their father before saying he was going to bed. Knowing it was better to stay out of Jacen's way, Artemis quickly ducked into his room, pulling Alex in with him before closing the door as quietly as possible. "Sorry about that..." He said to Alex afterwards.

Alex nodded, whincing as he heard the swearing. "Its okay..." He replied, shyly noticing that they stood close together.

Artemis gave a small smile before stepping back a little. "I-I figured it was better than getting in his way..." He said nervously, looking away slightly before flinching slightly at the sound of Jacen slamming his bedroom door.

"Thanks..." Alex said softly, jumping at the door slamming.

"Idiot..." Artemis muttered, referring to Jacen. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before looking back at Alex. "You can go now if you want," He said quietly. "He won't come back out for a while."

Alex sighed and nodded, "I should probably let you get back to bed..." He said softly, feeling his stomach flutter a little.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Artemis asked after hearing the sigh.

"Yeah... I'... I'm fine." Alex answered quietly.

Artemis frowned, slowly shaking his head. "You don't sound it."

"I..." Alex murmured trying not to flush, he was a mix of feelings.

"Alex...?" Artemis asked, looking worried as he watched him.

"I'm just tired...." Alex finally said, he wasn't going to add about the butterflies.

"Alright..." Artemis said, nodding. He went to say something else, but decided not to, looking away from Alex.

Alex ran his fingers through his hair, "Night..."

"You mean mornin'..." Artemis said with a small smirk.

Alex stuck out his tongue, "Fine morning."

Artemis chuckled and smiled at Alex, accidentally brushing against him as he moved out of the way so Alex could open the door. "Oh, sorry." He said, quickly turning away.

Alex flushed slightly, "Oh, its okay..." The butterflies were fluttering harder now.

Artemis nodded, nervously playing with a bit of his hair, not looking at Alex.

Alex started to open the door.

"I...I doubt I'm going to be able to sleep now; so if you wanted to stay..." Artemis said nervously.

"I... I don't think i'm going to sleep either..." Alex said quietly.

Artemis nodded before slowly moving to sit on his bed. "You can sit...if you want."

Alex sat down on the soft bed.

Artemis gave a small smile but sat there quietly, not sure what to say to Alex.
