Why Should We Hide?

"Oh, um...we should probably let you get settled in..." Artemis said, trying not to sound nervous again.

"Oh okay..." Alex said with a nod.

"Should probably make sure Jacen's not doing anything stupid anyway..."

Alex nodded before sitting on the small bed.

Artemis gave a friendly smile before leading Dante out of the room.

Alex opened his bags and started putting his stuff away.

A few weeks later Alex yawned as he stepped out of his room.

Despite it being early in the morning, the sounds of an argument could be heard coming from the living room, Jacen being told off by his father after being caught only just getting home.

Alex sighed as he listened to the argument, looks like his friend Jacen was in trouble again.

Artemis groaned and rolled his eyes at the noise, slowly getting out of bed. He pulled on a t-shirt and shorts before going out into the hallway.

Alex looked up as Artermis opened his door, "Jacen is in trouble....Again."

"Of course he is..." Artemis sighed, leaning tiredly against the wall. "Can't go a week without getting in trouble."

"Yeah week its only a day into the week.... And he's been in trouble twice...." Alex said quietly.

"Three times if you count the argument they had about him even going out last night..." Artemis muttered.

Alex sighed and nodded, "He's getting worse then he ever was...."

Artemis sighed and slowly nodded. "I know, I just wish there was something I could do to help fix it."

"I guess we just have to wait and see.... I mean norally he comes to a point were he calms for a while.... Right?"

Dante came out into the hall.

"Sometimes..." Artemis said slowly, still tired. "He hasn't for a while though." He added, not noticing Dante.

"I'm sure it will get better..." Alex said softly, trying to reasure him.

"Jacen's in trouble again isn;t he?" Dante asked softly.

"I hope so," Artemis sighed before turning to look at his younger brother. "Oh hey Dante. Yeah, he is."

Dante bit his lip, "Any idea what for?" He asked.

"Not really," Artemis answered, shaking his head. "I think he may have only just got home though."

Dante nodded with a sigh, "He and dad are going at it really bad aren't they..."

"Wouldn't be the first time..." Artemis mumbled, hanging his head.

Dante made an upset noise and hugged his kitten tighter.

Alex sighed, "Its going to get better i'm sure of it guys."

"Hopefully before he does anything stupid..." Artemis said quietly.
